Lunar Tigress Yoga - (75-80 Degrees)

Lunar Tigress Yoga is a perfectly imperfect balancing blend of Tai Chi, Chi Gong, Yoga and Functional movement patterns. I chose the Tiger for this program because of my two yoga teachers Brahmani Liebman and Jashoda Evans who embodied this mystical creature. Yoga, Kung Fu and the Tiger all have roots in India. Tigers are nocturnal hunters. They don’t fear the dark. By practicing this blend of yoga and kung fu, one brings light into places of there life that they tend to shy away from or are fearful of. For Fear is a place we go to learn. In this class you’ll learn basic warm ups that prepare the body for more vigorous activities that will decrease your likelihood of getting injured while simultaneously promote longevity. Asanas which are the different poses in yoga. Different styles of meditation that help center and anchor the mind in the present moment. You’ll also learn various forms of Pranayam which are breathing techniques that are scientifically proven to help reduce stress. By practicing this style, you may begin to notice how the benefits cross over into all aspects of your life. Perhaps being more mindful in the kitchen, learning how to communicate clearer with friends and loved ones, bring awareness to identifying your goals in life or learn how to stay calm in stressful situations. It’s a wonderful way to deepen the relationship you have with your body.
